Audio channels and audio instruments play just fine w/ UAD plugs provided that your compensation is set to all. Note that this is only for listening to audio that comes in from a not-yet-recorded external midi instrument. You also have to offset your multi-instruments by the roundtrip latency of your soundcard. You cannot monitor an audio channel, nor can you use the external instrument plugin. put the UAD stuff on the auxes, and they will be properly compensated. The ONLY way to do it is to monitor your midi instruments through aux channels.
I have spent a long time doing trial and error with UAD+logic to try and eliminate the lag for realtime playback of external midi instruments (with live UAD plugins active), if that is what you are talking about. Plus my CPU doesn't go past the 1/3 mark on meter.ĭoes anyone have any idea what this could be? Outside of the UAD i guess i do have some CPU heavy programs going on (East West etc) but like i said I'm sure I've had this before without the latency. In an attempt to find the source of the problem i bypassed all the UAD plugins i have used and sometimes via the control panel. All thought i swear I've used more in the past and not experienced this. This seems to have happened since the arrival of UAD but i am using more tracks lately. This is on midi stuff and audio (bass guitar) both when being played.
Ive started to use UAD of late and i can't praise them enough, they do bring some serious pedigree to any mix it seems.īut since introducing them I'm experiencing some pretty heavy latency.
